The Substance Misuse Committee of Linn County is a collaborative committee comprised of local organizations across the recovery, public health, treatment, and non-profit sectors. All of these organizations come together in efforts to reduce the stigma associated with substance misuse, while also raising awareness to available support in Linn County.
To help address different substance misuse-related strategies, the Substance Misuse Committee of Linn County leverages four subcommittees: Prevention and Education; Data; Harm Reduction; Referral and Treatment.
Vision: A strong community where substance use and misuse are destigmatized, there is equitable access to needed substance use and misuse services, and individuals are aware and empowered to seek services when needed, resulting in a reduction of drug overdoses and improvement of individual and community health.
